ABSU Post-UTME/DE registration for 2023/2024 session

The management of Abia State University (ABSU) has officially announced the commencement of the Post-UTME screening exercise for the 2023/2024 academic session. Screening Schedule:

The screening exercise is scheduled to take place over three days, starting from Wednesday, 16th August, 2023, to Friday, 18th August, 2023. Here is the breakdown of the screening days according to faculties:

Day 1 (Wednesday, 16th August, 2023):

  • Faculty of Biological Sciences
  • Faculty of Physical Sciences
  • College of Medicine Faculty of Health Sciences
  • Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences

Day 2 (Thursday, 17th August, 2023):

  • Faculty of Law
  • Faculty of Agriculture
  • Faculty of Economics & Management Sciences
  • Faculty of Social Sciences

Day 3 (Friday, 18th August, 2023):

  • Faculty of Education
  • Faculty of Engineering
  • Faculty of Environmental Studies
  • Faculty of Humanities

All screening exercises, including Law and Agriculture, will take place at the main campus in Uturu, commencing at 10:00 am each day.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates eligible for the screening exercise include:

  • Those who chose Abia State University as their 1st or 2nd Choice.
  • Candidates who did not choose the University in the UTME but wish to change to ABSU.
  • Applicants who scored 140 and above in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
  • Candidates with the basic five O’Level credit passes in line with the University entry requirements. These should be uploaded on the JAMB portal.
  • Direct Entry candidates are also eligible.

Registration Process:

(a) To register for the screening exercise, candidates should follow these steps:

  • Log into the official ABSU website at www.abiastateuniversity.edu.ng.
  • Make an e-payment of two thousand Naira (N2,000.00) only in any of the following banks:
    • ABSU Micro-Finance Bank, Uturu
    • Eco Bank Plc
    • Zenith Bank Plc
    • Fidelity Bank Plc
    • Union Bank Plc
    • UBA Plc
    • Payment can also be made via bank debit cards.

(b) Candidates who fail to register for the Post-UTME screening exercise will not be considered for admission.
