BUK Direct Entry Screening Form Out – 2023/2024

Important Dates:

The Online Screening Exercise is scheduled to take place from Monday, 20th November 2023, to Sunday, 7th January 2024. However, the deadline for printing the acknowledgment slip is midnight on Sunday, 14th January 2024.

Eligibility Criteria:

Only candidates who applied through JAMB for Direct Entry Admissions and selected Bayero University as their First Choice are eligible for the screening. Please note that providing false information may lead to disqualification, and candidates are allowed to submit a maximum of two different ‘O’ Level examination results.

O’ Level Results Upload:

Candidates are advised to visit any JAMB Office or Accredited CBT Centre nearest to them to upload their ‘O’ Level results (such as WAEC, NECO, etc.) on the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS).

Approved National “O” Level Results:

While all approved National “O” level results (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, and NBAIS) are acceptable for DE admissions, there are exceptions:

  • NBAIS is only acceptable into B.A. Arabic, B.A. Islamic Studies, and B.A. Sharia in the Faculty of Arts and Islamic Studies.
  • NABTEB is not acceptable into the Faculties of Clinical Sciences, Veterinary Medicine, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Dentistry, and Allied Health Sciences.

Application Process:

Step 1: Login

  • Visit the official Bayero University website at www.buk.edu.ng.
  • Click on “2023 DE ONLINE SCREENING EXERCISE.”

Step 2: Profile Update

  • DE candidates should use their JAMB DE Registration Number, State, and Gender to log in.
  • Fill in the provided form, ensuring that the uploaded photograph from JAMB is the only valid ID throughout your stay at Bayero University, Kano.

Step 3: Generation of BUK PPI

  • Generate and download your Personalized Payment Invoice (PPI), which includes a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) for the sum of N2,000.00 as the screening cost.
  • Choose to pay online using Credit/Debit Card or Internet Banking, or print the invoice and pay at any Commercial Bank.
