Duration:

The HND Programme spans two academic sessions of two semesters each, while the Pre-ND Programme is designed for one academic session of two semesters.

Admission Requirements:

HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND) PROGRAMME:

1. National Diploma (ND) from Rivers State Polytechnic, Bori, or any recognized and accredited Polytechnic, with a minimum grade of LOWER CREDIT in the relevant discipline.
2. Entry requirements for the corresponding ND Programme.
3. A credited one-year Post National Diploma Industrial work Experience in an approved Establishment, Industrial, or Business Organization.
4. In exceptional cases, ND Holders with a pass (CGPA of 2.00-2.49) in the ND examination with two or more years of cognate experience in the specific fields may be considered for admission.

PRE-NATIONAL DIPLOMA:

1. Minimum of five passes in the West African School Certificate, GCE Ordinary Level, SSCE, NECO, or their equivalent in relevant subjects at not more than two sittings, including English Language and Mathematics.
2. Candidates with passes in City and Guild, National Technical Certificate (NTC), and National Technical Education Board (NABTEB) may also be considered for Engineering and Technology courses.
3. Candidates awaiting the results of the above examinations may also apply.

Method of Application:

1. Visit any branch of Union Bank & FCMB Nationwide to make payment of N16,300 (N15,000 for Form, N1000 Portal Access Charge, and N300 Bank Charges). Provide UTME registration number, name, email, phone number, and any other details.
2. Alternatively, click “Buy PIN” to start a fresh application or “Start Application” to continue.
3. After payment, the bank will issue a receipt with a Confirmation Number.
4. Visit the Rivers State Polytechnic admission portal, enter the confirmation number, and click “submit.”
5. If payment is validated, create a password profile for further logins.
6. Log in using your UTME Number and the password created to open the Full Application Form. Fill in the Applicant’s Particulars Form.
7. Upon successful completion, you will receive an SMS alert.
8. Print a copy of the Online Application Form for verification. Log in again to make any necessary corrections.
