BSU Entry Requirements

(a) General Entry Requirements: Candidates must have a minimum of four (4) credits, including English Language, in SSCE, GCE, NABTEB, (NTC or NBC), C & G I or II, Federal Craft Training Certificate, TCII, or equivalent qualifications approved by the University.

(b) Specific Requirements: (i) Business Education: Four (4) ‘O’ Level credits, including English Language and any three (3) of Mathematics, Economics, Accounting, Marketing, Commerce, ICT, or any business/vocational subject.

(ii) Computer Science: Four (4) ‘O’ Level credits, including English Language and any three (3) of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Economics, ICT, or NTC subjects.

(iii) Home Economics: Four (4) ‘O’ credits, including English Language, and any three (3) relevant subjects from Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural Science, Food Science & Nutrition, and Home Economics.

(iv) Industrial Technology Education: Four (4) ‘O’ credits, including English Language and any other three (3) of Mathematics, Technical Drawing, Physics, Chemistry, ICT, or NTC subjects.

BSU Method of Application

Applications are exclusively online. Visit the Benue State University portal, click on “Pre-Voc & Tech,” complete the pre-registration information, and submit. Upon submission, a unique application number will be generated. Print a copy of the pre-registration form and proceed to the bank to pay a non-refundable application fee of five thousand (5,000) naira only, using the generated application number.

After payment, revisit the Benue State University portal, click on Preliminary Vocational and Technical Studies to complete the application form. Print a copy of the completed form, attach relevant photocopies of credentials (Payment receipt, WASSCE and/or NECO Result(s), Local Government Certificate of Origin, Birth Certificate, 3 passport photographs), and submit to the Preliminary Vocational and Technical Studies programme.
