1. School of Applied Sciences

Higher National Diploma:

a. Computer Science b. Statistics c. Microbiology d. Science Laboratory Technology

1.1 Entry Requirements:

  • HND in Computer Science (Two Years): National Diploma in Computer Science with a minimum of lower credit (CGPA 2.50), five O-Level credits, including English Language, Mathematics, and Physics. Compulsory one-year industrial training.
  • HND in Statistics (Two Years): National Diploma in Statistics with a minimum of lower credit (CGPA 2.50), five O-Level credits, including English Language and Mathematics. Compulsory one-year industrial training.
  • HND in Science and Laboratory Technology (Two Years): National Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology with a minimum of lower credit (CGPA 2.50), five O-Level credits, including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics. Compulsory one-year industrial training.

2. School of Art, Design, and Printing

Higher National Diploma:

a. Industrial Design with Options in Graphics, Textiles, and Ceramics b. Fine Arts, with Options in Painting and Sculpture

2.1 Entry Requirements:

  • HND in Industrial Design and Fine Arts: National Diploma in Fine Arts with a minimum of lower credit (CGPA 2.50), five O-Level credits, including English Language, Mathematics, and relevant subjects. Compulsory one-year industrial training.

3. School of Engineering Technology

Higher National Diploma:

a. Mineral Resources Engineering Resources (Two Years) b. Civil Engineering c. Electrical Electronic Engineering

3.1 Entry Requirements:

  • HND in Mineral Resources Engineering (Two Years): National Diploma in Mineral Resources Engineering with a minimum of lower credit (CGPA 2.50), five O-Level credits, including English Language, Mathematics, and Chemistry. Compulsory one-year industrial training.
  • HND in Civil Engineering (Two Years): National Diploma in Civil Engineering with a minimum of lower credit (CGPA 2.50), five O-Level credits, including English Language, Mathematics, and Geography. Compulsory one-year industrial training.
  • HND in Electrical Engineering (Two Years): National Diploma in Electrical Electronic Engineering with a minimum of lower credit (CGPA 2.50), five O-Level credits, including English Language, Mathematics, and Physics. Compulsory one-year industrial training.

4. School of Environmental Technology

Higher National Diploma:

a. Urban and Regional Planning

4.1 Entry Requirements:

  • HND in Urban and Regional Planning: National Diploma in Urban and Regional Planning with a minimum of lower credit (CGPA 2.50), five O-Level credits, including English Language, Mathematics, and Geography. Compulsory one-year industrial training.

5. School of Management Studies

Higher National Diploma:

a. Business Administration and Management b. Library and Information Science c. Office Technology and Management d. Public Administration

5.1 Entry Requirements:

  • HND in Accountancy (Two Years): National Diploma in Accountancy with a minimum of lower credit (CGPA 2.50), five O-Level credits, including English Language and Mathematics. Compulsory one-year industrial training.
  • HND in Business Administration and Management (Two Years): National Diploma in Business Administration or related programs with a minimum of lower credit (CGPA 2.50). Compulsory one-year industrial training.
  • HND in Library and Information Science (Two Years): National Diploma in Library and Information Science with a minimum of lower credit (CGPA 2.50) and at least a credit in one science subject at the O/level. Compulsory one-year industrial training.
  • HND in Office Technology and Management (Two Years): National Diploma in Office Technology and Management with a minimum of lower credit (CGPA 2.50). Compulsory one-year industrial training.
  • HND in Public Administration (Two Years): National Diploma in Public Administration with a minimum of lower credit (CGPA 2.50) and at least a credit in Government or Civic Education at the O/level. Compulsory one-year industrial training.

6. School of Preliminary Studies

a. One-year Advanced Level (A/L) Course

b. IJMB Basic English Language and Mathematics

6.1 Entry Requirements:

  • IJMB ‘A’ Level (One Year): Five subjects at credit level in NECO/ WAEC/ GCE/ NABTEB, including English Language and Mathematics, three of which must be relevant to the chosen combination.
  • IJMB Basic English and Mathematics (One Year): For candidates who attempted SSCE, NECO, or WASC but couldn’t pass English Language and Mathematics at credit levels.

7. School of General Studies

a. Pre-ND Urban and Regional Planning b. Pre-ND Building Technology c. Pre-ND Architectural Technology d. Pre-ND Civil Engineering e. Pre-ND Electrical and Electronic Engineering f. Pre-ND Computer Science g. Pre-ND Science and Laboratory Technology h. Pre-ND Statistics i. Pre-ND Office Technology and Management j. Pre-ND Fine Art

7.1 Entry Requirements:

Candidates for Pre-ND programs must possess O/Level credits in NECO/ WAEC/ GCE/ NABTEB, including Pass in English and Mathematics and any other relevant subject to the specific Pre-ND program.

Method of Application:

Qualified candidates are invited to apply by generating two different RRR numbers for the Admission form and Screening fee through the school portal: Kogi State Polytechnic Portal.

  • HND Programs: N9,000 (Admission Form Fee N6,500 + Screening Fee N2,500)
  • Pre-ND Programs: N8,000 (Admission Form Fee N5,500 + Screening Fee N2,500)
  • IJMB Programs: N5,500

Full-Time Application Procedure:

  1. Visit Kogi State Polytechnic Official Website.
  2. Click on “Apply Now.”
  3. Select “Full-Time Application.”
  4. Enter your name, email, and mobile number. Choose your program type (e.g., HND, NDS) from the program list.
  5. Ensure your email is valid as an authentication code, including your username (phone number) and password, will be sent to your email.
  6. Complete the biodata form.
  7. Select your course of study.
  8. Complete payment for an application form by generating two different RRRs to pay for a Registration form.
