Commencement of Academic Session:

Mark your calendars! The University Senate, during its 142nd regular meeting, has officially given the green light for the commencement of the 2023/2024 Academic Session on Monday, 13th November 2023. It’s an exciting time for parents, guardians, students, and the general public as we embark on another year of growth and learning.

Internships and Teaching Practice Kick-off:

For our 300-level students, the long-awaited Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) begins on the same day, offering valuable real-world exposure. Simultaneously, Teaching Practice for our 400-level students takes off, providing a hands-on teaching experience. Both initiatives promise enriching opportunities for personal and professional development.

Important Calendar Dates:

Let’s navigate through the key dates that will shape our academic landscape:

• Resumption/Registration for 200L and online registration for 300 Level students.
• Orientation for Teaching Practice Exercise for 400 Level students (virtual) on 15th November.
• Convocation Ceremonies on 27th – 28th November.
• Lectures kick off for 100 – 300 Level students on 4th December.
• Public Holidays on 25th – 26th December.
• Matriculation ceremony for fresh students on 30th January 2024.

Second Semester Schedule:

As we transition into the second semester, here’s what you can expect:

• Lectures commence on 25th March 2024.
• Continuous Assessment for general courses on 13th – 17th May.
• Lectures conclude on 31st May.
• Revision Weeks from 3rd – 7th June.
• Second Semester Examinations begin on 10th June.
• The academic session concludes on 5th July.

School Fees Structure:

Understanding the financial aspect of education is crucial. The approved school fees for the 2023/2024 academic session are as follows:

Returning Students:

• Education: N148,500
• Pure: N158,500

New Students:

• Education: N170,500
• Pure: N180,500
