LASU Indegeneship Verification for 2023 Post-UTME & admission exercise

Welcome, aspiring students! If you’ve chosen Lagos State University (LASU) as your first choice in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) and scored a minimum of 195, this blog post is your go-to guide for the upcoming Indigeneship Verification Exercise. Key Dates for Indigeneship Verification:

  1. Registration Period: July 20th – August 18th, 2023
  2. Verification Interview: July 24th, 2023, onwards

Screening Exercise Phases:

  1. First Phase: July 24th – July 27th, 2023
  2. Second Phase: July 31st – August 3rd, 2023
  3. Third Phase: August 7th – August 10th, 2023
  4. Mop-up Phase: August 14th – August 17th, 2023

Method of Application:

To kickstart the process, candidates must make an online payment to the Lagos State University Account through the official link: LASU Indigeneship Verification

General Information:

  1. Eligibility: Only candidates of Lagos State origin are eligible for screening. Clearance by the Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (IIVC) is a prerequisite for admission consideration.
  2. Interview Venues:
    • Ikeja Division: First Floor, L & H Building, Faculty of Arts
    • Badagry Division: New TETFund Building, Faculty of Education
    • Ikorodu Division: Law Clinic, Faculty of Law
    • Lagos Division: International Business Class, MBA Building
    • Epe Division: School of Transport

Revalidation for Previous Applicants:

Old applicants from the 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 academic sessions who have not received admission offers must revalidate their indigeneship clearance certificates online at LASU Official Website with the required payment.

Important Note for Direct Entry Applicants:

Direct Entry applicants of Lagos State origin must participate in the Indigeneship Verification Exercise before being considered for admission.
