About Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa:

Established in 1983 via Decree No. 33 of 1979, with subsequent amendments in Decree No. 28 of 1987, Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa, located in Nasarawa State, has been a hub for providing full-time and part-time education in technology, applied science, commerce, and management. The Polytechnic has evolved over the years, becoming one of the leading institutions in Nigeria.

Commencing activities on January 30, 1984, the Polytechnic started with about 220 students in seven departments. These included Accountancy, Business Administration and Management, Secretarial Studies, Architectural Technology, Estate Management, Building and Quantity Surveying, and Liberal Studies.

Today, the Polytechnic boasts over 20,000 students spread across seven academic schools, offering about 28 programs at both the National Diploma and Higher National Diploma levels. All programs are authorized by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).
