Admission Requirements:
- General Requirements:
- Candidates must possess a degree or its equivalent from a Senate-recognized institution.
- Five (5) credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics in WASC, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB at not more than two sittings are required.
- A pass in either English or Mathematics is not acceptable.
- ACE and TC II are not considered equivalent to WASC, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB.
- Ph.D. Programme:
- Candidates must have obtained a weighted average score of at least 60% overall.
- Academic Master Degree (M.Sc., M.Ed., M.A., LL.M.):
- Holders of bachelor’s degrees in the relevant discipline from Delta State University or any other accredited university are eligible.
- At least a “Second Class Honours (Lower Division)” degree recognized by the Senate is required.
- Professional Master Degree:
- Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline from Delta State University or any other accredited university.
- A minimum of a “Second Class Honours (Lower Division)” degree recognized by the Senate or a Higher National Diploma with Upper Credit is required.
- Postgraduate Diploma:
- Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline.
- At least a “Third Class Honours” degree or a Higher National Diploma (Lower Credit) recognized by the Senate is acceptable.
Application Procedure:
- Visit the official DELSU portal to complete the 2024/2025 PG Admission Form online.
- Generate an application virtual pin by paying N31,000.00 at any of the following designated banks:
- UBA,
- Zenith Bank,
- Unity Bank,
- Fidelity Bank.
- Upload scanned copies of the following documents in PDF format:
- Transcript of all previous qualifications obtained.
- WASC, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB Certificate (not TC II).
- NYSC Certificate or Exemption/Exclusion Certificate obtained from the NYSC Office only.
- A 3–5 page research proposal indicating the area of research interest (for Ph.D. candidates).
