Entry Qualifications for Full-Time Degree Programs (Direct Entry Only)
B.ED., ADULT EDUCATION
- Option A:
- At least 2 merit level passes in relevant subjects in the NCE and 3 O’ Level Credit Level obtained in not more than one sitting. The ‘O’ level credit passes should include English Language.
- Option B:
- At least 3 merit level passes in relevant subjects in the NCE and 2 O’ Level Credit Level passes obtained in not more than one sitting. The ‘O’ level credit passes should include English Language.
- Option C:
- At least two Advanced level passes in relevant subjects at the GCE ‘A’ Level, HSC, or any other recognized equivalents and at least five Ordinary level Credit level passes obtained in no more than two (3) sittings. The subjects should include English Language and Fine Arts, History or Government, Religious Studies, and Mathematics and other subjects relevant to the course of study.
- Option D:
- At least a merit pass in Diploma in Adult Education and Community Development, Social Works (DSW), Theatre Arts (DTA), and other relevant courses. Also, possess at least 3 O’ Level credit passes obtained at one sitting, including English Language.
BSC. (ED), COMPUTER SCIENCE
- Option A:
- At least 2 merit level passes in relevant subjects in the NCE and 3 O’ Level Credit Level obtained in not more than one sitting. The ‘O’ level credit passes should include English Language, Mathematics, and other subjects relevant to the course of study.
- Option B:
- At least two Advanced level passes in relevant subjects at the GCE ‘A’ Level, HSC, or any other recognized equivalents and at least five Ordinary level Credit level passes obtained in no more than two (3) sittings. The subjects should include English Language and Mathematics.
- Option C:
- At least a Merit level pass in Diploma in relevant courses from recognized institutions and at least five credit level passes in (WASC /SSC /GCE /NECO /NEC / NABTEB / Teacher grade Two Certificates (TC II) or any other recognized equivalents obtained in not more than two (2) sittings. The subjects should include English Language and Mathematics.
B. ED. EDUCATIONAL MANAGEMENT
- Option A:
- At least 3 merit level passes in relevant subjects in NCE and 3 ‘O’ Level Credit passes obtained in not more than one sitting. The ’O’ level credit passes should be English Language and Mathematics and other subjects relevant to the course of study.
- Option B:
- At least two ‘A’ level passes in relevant subjects GCE, HSC or any other recognized equivalents and at least 5 ‘O’ level Credit passes obtained in no more than two (3) sittings. The subjects should include English Language, History or Government, Religious Studies, and Mathematics and other subjects relevant to the course of study.
- Option C:
- At least a Credit level pass in Diploma in Banking and Finance, Accounting, Urban and Regional Planning, or at least upper credit level pass from other recognized institutions. And at least five credit ‘O’ level passes obtained in not more than two (2) sittings. The subjects should include English Language and Mathematics.
BA (ED) ENGLISH AND LITERATURE
- Option A:
- At least 3 merit level passes in relevant subjects at NCE and 3 ‘O’ Level Credit passes obtained in not more than one sitting; one of the “O” level credits should be English Language.
- Option B:
- At least 2 ‘A’ level passes in relevant subjects at the GCE, HSC, or any recognized equivalents and at least 5 ‘O’ Level Credit passes obtained in not more than 2 sittings.
