General Requirements
Eligibility Criteria:
- Graduates of the University of Lagos or any other recognized university with degrees in relevant disciplines.
- Holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) or National Diploma (ND) or National Certificate in Education (NCE) in the relevant disciplines.
- Holders of recognized relevant full professional qualifications such as ACA, ANAN, ACCA, ACMA, ACIA, ACIS, ACIB, and CII.
- Holders of WASCE/SSCE/GCE/NECO (‘O’ Level) or its equivalent with credit in five subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
Additional Information:
- Applicants must ensure all examination numbers and certificates of WASCE/SSCE/GCE/NECO “O” Level or its equivalent are inputted and uploaded on the portal.
- Applicants into year two and year three presenting post “O” Level qualifications such as Degrees, HND, NCE, OND, and professional qualifications should send in their Academic Transcripts.
General Information
- Application will be in two stages: Part-Time JAMB Registration and DLI UNILAG.
- Applicants for the Distance Learning Institute program should not be less than 16 years of age by 31st October 2022.
- On-line print out ‘O’ Level results slips are NOT ACCEPTABLE at the point of Registration.
- Candidates awaiting results are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply.
- Certificates and not Statement of Result Slips are acceptable for WASCE/SSCE/GCE/NECO results obtained before 2019.
- All completed application forms are to be submitted on or before 15th December 2022.
- There will be NO UTME Examination for Distance Learning Institute, University of Lagos.
Procedure for Application
Stage 1: Part-Time JAMB Registration
- Log on to JAMB CAP Website and Register (Part-Time).
- Pay a sum of #3,500 to obtain the registration number.
Stage 2: DLI UNILAG Application
- Log on to UNILAG application portal http://applications.unilag.edu.ng.
- Click “Start Fresh Application”.
- Select Distance Learning Institute as the application type and provide necessary details.
- Pay the Application Fee of N17,500.00 online or at any Commercial Bank.
- Return to the application portal after payment, click ‘’continue application’’, and complete all required details.
- Upload necessary documents, including testimonial, birth certificate, ‘O’ Level certificate, NYSC certificate, and marriage certificate (for married females).
- Complete the application form, submit online, and print a copy.

- Birth Certificate/Sworn Affidavit that predates the admissions advertisement
- ‘O’ Level Certificate/All other Qualifications
- NYSC Certificate/NYSC Exemption Certificate (for Direct Entry candidates)

Applicants are allowed to save the application form and later complete it in case certain information is not readily available.

What are the general eligibility requirements for admission?
To be eligible for admission into UNILAG DLI, applicants must:

Be at least 16 years old by October 31, 2024.

Possess a minimum of five (5) credits in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings.

Hold qualifications such as NCE, ND (with at least a Lower Credit), HND (with at least a Lower Credit), or a Bachelor’s degree (with a minimum of a Third Class) for direct entry into higher years.

Have official certificates (not statements of result) for ‘O’ Level results obtained before 2020.

Awaiting results candidates are not eligible to apply .
How do I apply for the DLI programme?
