Admission Requirements:

For UTME Candidates:

To qualify for admission, UTME candidates must have sat for the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and obtained a minimum score of 160. Additionally, candidates must possess five credits at SSCE or its equivalent in relevant subjects, including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English Language, and Mathematics, at not more than two sittings.

For MBBS, a minimum UTME score of 190 is required, along with relevant subjects.

Candidates must upload their O’level results on the JAMB CAPS.

Eligibility:

• Candidates who chose PUMS as their first choice in JAMB.
• Candidates wishing to study at PUMS but did not initially select it must apply for a CHANGE OF INSTITUTION through the JAMB Portal.
• Candidates awaiting SSCE results can apply, provided the results will be uploaded on the PUMS Portal at least two days before the Screening Exercise.

Direct Entry:

In addition to having five O’level credits, Direct Entry candidates must possess at least two A’ Level passes in relevant subjects or a good first degree not below Second Class Lower. MBBS candidates must have three A’ Level passes in relevant subjects.

Inter-University Transfer Admission:

Candidates seeking transfer admission must obtain a Transfer Form from PUMS, endorsed by their current university. The form, accompanied by relevant documents and sessional transcripts, should be submitted to PUMS for consideration.

International Applicants:

International applicants should adhere strictly to JAMB-approved provisions for admissions into Nigerian universities.

Application Process:

1. Log on to the University Website: http://www.pums.edu.ng/
2. Click on “Apply Now” at the top center of the page.
3. Enter your JAMB number and click “Check Eligibility.”
4. Complete the application form, providing accurate information.
5. Upload supporting documents, including JAMB result, O’level result, birth certificate, local government of origin, and letter of attestation.
6. Make a payment of N2,000, either through transfer or direct bank deposit.
7. Upload evidence of payment.
8. Upon successful payment, make the final submission of your application and print the clearance form.

Compulsory Post UTME Screening Schedule:

Candidates should prepare for the mandatory SCREENING EXERCISE on Monday, 25th, to Wednesday, 27th July 2022.
