FUTA postgraduate admission form for 2023/2024 session is out

Whether you’re aiming for a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), Master of Philosophy (M. Phil.), Master of Agricultural Technology (M. Agric. Tech.), Master of Engineering (M. Eng.), Master of Technology (M. Tech.), or a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD), FUTA offers a diverse range of higher degree programs to elevate your knowledge and skills.

Admission Requirements:

For Postgraduate Diploma (PGD):

• A first degree, not lower than Third Class, in the relevant discipline.
• Higher National Diploma (HND) of at least Lower Credit level or its equivalent in the relevant or related discipline.
• Professional qualifications such as ACA, AIB, ACCA, ACIS, or equivalent for the PGD in Computer Science.

For Master’s Programs (M.Agric.Tech./M.Eng./M.Tech.):

• A good Bachelor’s degree of at least Second Class Lower Division from FUTA or other recognized universities in the appropriate discipline.
• Higher Diploma of at least Lower Credit level, and in addition, the candidate must have a Postgraduate Diploma (at Upper Credit level) in the appropriate discipline.

For Master of Philosophy (M. Phil.):

• A good M. Tech. degree or equivalent in the relevant discipline.

For Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.):

• A good Master’s degree in the appropriate discipline with a CGPA of 3.50 and/or 60% minimum average score.

Duration of Programs:

• PGD: 18-24 months (Full-Time), 18-36 months (Part-Time)
• Master’s Programs: 18-24 months
• M. Phil. Program: 18-24 months
• Ph.D. Program: 36-48 months (Full-Time), 48-60 months (Part-Time)

Application Process:

1. Visit the University’s website (http://futa.edu.ng) and follow the online application process.
2. Use the REMITA method for payment to the School of Postgraduate Studies account.
3. Application forms cost N20,000.00 (Ph.D.), N20,000.00 (Masters), and N20,000.00 (PGD) only.

Submission Guidelines:

• Ph.D. candidates should email their Research Proposal to [email protected] with the subject format: “Surname_School/Dept.doc,” for example, Ojo_sos/che.researchproposal.

Note: O’Level results are no longer required for postgraduate admissions.
